In most cases, trying to be a vegan can be a challenge, if you were not born as one. However, time will help you change and your will-power for the greater of humanity and the world around will be with you too. But here are a few tips to keep in mind, when transitioning into a vegan, which helps pave the way smoother.
Remember the purpose
Do not try and forget the reason why you chose to become a vegan in the first place. Drop the need to debate about animal care and saving the animals or the planet; there is a time and place for everything, don’t allow this to distract you from the purpose, while making a transit. It is obvious that you realised, murdering innocent animals to fill your stomach is not your thing and morally not right and that is why you chose to become a vegan. This was a leap of faith you took and thus you have to find the joy of continuing with the same. In doing so, you are one of the many vegans, who aren’t contributing to the murder and exploitation of billion living beings each year- you are special and in doing, it makes you an angel!
Non-vegans are not enemies
Don’t look at them as such, even if they don’t see the light as to why being vegan is the way of life. Even if they claim to be animal lovers and yet consume animals, it can be infuriating to you to accept them for their claims. Remember, that is their lifestyle and choice and you have made yours’. They have been born and raised a certain way and even though you may have come down the same path, not all have the strength and will-power to change over time. Judge not their actions for the moment and if they do not show any interest in your way of life, don’t bother. However, do be proud of your vegan lifestyle, talk and spread the word without being the monkey on the back for anyone.
